Modern Luxury in a Historical Setting

The late 18th Century property which evolved into the newly renovated Stables, completed in December 2008, was originally the courtyard stable block and farm manager’s accommodation for the large Newcastle House and Demesne estate. Having fallen into disrepair, it has been lovingly restored to its original splendour with a large modern extension which respects the original building.

The Stables main property, the Gold House, offers four bedrooms which sleep between 10-12 people. It has a fully-equipped kitchen, living areas and bathrooms. It is rented on a self-catering basis, however, contacts can be provided to help you arrange for outside catering. Additional information and contact details for transport, nearby activities and anything else you may require can also be requested and The Stables are more than happy to help you make your stay one to remember.

Across the courtyard from the Gold House, there is the Other Side with an additional four bedrooms which can sleep eight guests. Here, there is an open-plan dining and living area. Please note: the entire property may be rented at any one time and the houses are not available individually.
