Newcastle House

A 440-year-old manor, Newcastle House is steeped in history and located in the heart of Ireland on the banks of the River Inny near Ballymahon, in County Longford. A  boutique experience and independently owned, guests will stay in one of the guesthouse's 16 en-suite bedrooms.

Experience History and Nature

Set in mature parkland and surrounded by 900 acres of forest, Newcastle House was where the King-Harman family lived in the 1800s. The King-Harman family ran the Newcastle Demesne, an 11,000-hectare estate, close to which Newcastle Wood now stands.

Newcastle House is an excellent base to explore and enjoy the natural wonders of Ireland. The River Inny has plentiful rapids and canoeing is popular along with fishing in the area. Horse riding and golf are also not too far away.
