Whether it is Easter break boredom busters you are looking for or wanting to get out and about to enjoy the Spring weather, we've got you covered this April!

International Roma Day Celebration

Friday, 11 April in the Temperance Hall: This special event will feature Roma dance performances, live music, and traditional food, offering a vibrant and culturally rich experience. It takes place from 1pm to 4pm.

Abbaesque Mamma Mia Here We Go Again

Friday, 11 April in the Longford Arms Hotel: Abbaesque is live on stage with Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, bringing you all the hits! You can even dress up for the occasion! Door open at 8pm, Tickets at Ticketstop.ie and on the door.

Granard Book Town Festival

Friday, 11 April to Sunday, 13 April in various venues: Granard becomes a hub for famous writers, poets, journalists, podcasters, and musicians during this jam-packed weekend. Spring Craft Fair

Saturday, 12 April in Moydow Community Centre: Find fabulous crafts including jewellery, handbags, scarves, knitted and crochet scarves, skincare, candles, baked goods and treats. From 11am to 3pm.

Canoe Training with Abbeyshrule Canoe Club

Starts Sunday, 13 April for 4 weeks at Abbeyshrule Canoe Club: Level 1 training for beginners or adults and children over 10 years old. Starts at 10am. Booking details from Abbeyshrule Canoe Club on Facebook

Inclusion Athletics Easter Camp

14, 15 and 17 April in Longford Sports Hub: A fun and supportive space for children with autism to participate in sports with expert coaches! Catering for two age groups: Group 1 from ages 5-8 takes place from 12:15pm to 1pm, and Group 2 from ages 9-12 takes place from 1pm to 1:45pm. Small group sizes with a max of 6 children per coach. Parents must stay throughout the session. Places €15.

Ickle Minds Easter Messy Play

Saturday, 19 April in Drumlish Sports Hub: 11am-12pm 6months to 4 years; 1pm to 2pm: 4years to 7 years. Booking is required, €15 per child. Contact Donna on 087 902 03 70. 

Sunday Night Dancing

Sunday, 20 April in the Longford Arms Hotel: David James takes to the stage with support from Camillus Egerton for some Sunday Night Dancing. It all kicks off at 9pm. Admission €20. Contact or the Longford Arms Hotel on 043 334 62 96.

“Me And My Girl" by Longford Musical Society

Monday, 21-Saturday, 26 April: Go to the 1930s for this high-energy comedy classic with a live orchestra bringing it all to life! Tickets €26, available at Farrell & Coy Stationery in Longford or book your tickets online.

The Loved Ones

Saturday, 26 April in Backstage Theatre: In Erica Murray's touching play, Nell and her daughter-in-law prepare to scatter ashes in West Clare, but their weekend takes a turn when an unexpected guest arrives, challenging their views on love, loss, and the unexpected connections between them.
