Glen Lough Nature Reserve & Trail

Glen Lough Nature Reserve is located on the outskirts of Edgeworthstown. Visitors can enjoy a scenic and very peaceful natural reserve area where they can enjoy particularly birdwatching as well as other rare flora and fauna. It is a unique and bio-diverse habitat with a fine bird-hide for lovers of nature and bird watchers.  A number of walks and ponds make this an ideal spot for walking and exploration.

Points of Interest: Nearby Edgeworthstown is home to the Maria Edgeworth Centre which promotes the work and the legacy of the prolific Longford writer.

Why not pay a visit to Midland Karting, a go-karting, paintball, and simulator racing centre in Edgeworthstown.  The facility consists of a 1,000m outdoor karting track which is fully floodlit for racing all year-round, ideal for parties for all ages.
