Ireland West International Airport is just over one hour from Longford and serves a number of UK and European routes. Longford, being centerally located, is accessible by all International Airports.

Abbeyshrule Airfield is located in South County Longford near the town of Ballymahon and outside the picturesque village of Abbeyshrule. Flying into Abbeyshrule the runway is tarmac, 800m in length and due to its location has unlimited unclustered air space. Most single and light twin aircraft can land at Abbeyshrule.
